Our Ethical and Sustainable Production Policy

At Jazzy Faith Designs, our commitment to sustainability is inseparable from our mission. We believe that true faith is expressed through responsible action, demanding the highest ethical and environmental standards across our supply chain.

We ensure these commitments are met by carefully selecting our fulfillment networks—including Inkthreadable and those powered by Gelato—whose rigorous policies and operational transparency guarantee compliance with our core values.

I. Governance and Ethical Sourcing

We believe businesses must operate on the principle of people over profit. We ensure this standard is upheld across our supply chain through mandated governance requirements placed upon our production partners.

  • Code of Conduct Compliance: We choose networks that require 100% of their production partners and suppliers to sign a strict Code of Conduct. This sets clear, non-negotiable expectations around fair labor rights, environmental protection, and anti-corruption standards across the entire manufacturing value chain.

  • Ethical Vetting: Our partners conduct continuous risk assessment, such as the EcoVadis benchmarking used for 100% of production partners in the Gelato network, ensuring consistent social and ethical performance.

  • Humanity and Labor: We rely on suppliers who believe in building a better future for all and who ensure all teams employed in the supply chain operate under safe and fair working conditions.

II. The Zero-Waste Production Model

Our greatest contribution to sustainability is the Print-on-Demand (POD) model, which is fundamentally designed to eliminate waste and optimize resource use.

  • No Overproduction: Because your products are only manufactured after they are sold, we guarantee that no products are ever left as unsold stock that may end up in landfill. This means no excess energy and raw materials are wasted on speculative inventory.

  • Localized Fulfillment: Our use of global networks ensures orders are routed to the nearest qualified facility to the customer. For Gelato, this means 88% of orders are fulfilled in the same country as the end customer, drastically reducing transportation emissions and delivery distances.

  • Operational Efficiency: We leverage smart software to minimize error rates and reduce waste during the printing process. This focus on accuracy prevents the need for costly reprints and unnecessary packaging.

III. Commitment to Clean Materials and Processes

We are dedicated to ensuring that the materials and inks used in our products are safe for both the wearer and the planet.

  • Eco-Friendly Inks: Our products are manufactured using Kornit Direct-to-Garment (DTG) printers. The inks are certified vegan and eco-friendly. They are also OEKO-TEX® approved, guaranteeing they are free from harmful, regulated chemicals.

  • Sustainable Apparel Choices: We prioritize the use of blank apparel from brands like Stanley/Stella, a premium clothing provider with a core focus on sustainability. Their products utilize organic cotton or recycled materials, aligning perfectly with our ethical standards.

  • Vegan Production: We are committed to offering styles where no animal-based materials are used in the manufacturing or printing process, ensuring a wide range of vegan friendly products.

IV. Circularity and Environmental Footprint

We have implemented measurable actions to reduce our environmental impact, from packaging to post-production waste.

  • Plastic-Free Packaging Transition: Our production partners successfully transitioned to a near-total plastic-free packaging system in 2019, saving an estimated 8 tonnes of single-use plastic each year. This includes:

    • Durable paper mail bags.

    • 100% cardboard, triangular poster tubes, eliminating plastic end caps.

    • Note: The only exception is the biodegradable bubble wrap currently used to ensure framed prints arrive undamaged.

  • Textile Recycling: All textile wastes produced during our manufacturing process are meticulously recycled and given a second life in products like carpet underlay, ensuring they are diverted from landfill.

  • Carbon Offsetting: Our production partners actively offset their residual carbon footprint by funding tree planting in the North West of England, a project maintained through Ecologi.
