Becoming in the Quiet Weeks
Share
Some weeks don’t feel loud. They don’t feel dramatic. They don’t feel like breakthrough. They feel… quiet. Ordinary. Slow. The kind of week where you wonder if anything is really happening beneath the surface.
But the Kingdom has always grown in places that look still on the outside.
This week, God kept drawing me back to the truth that becoming is often a hidden work before it is a visible one.
Jesus said:
“The kingdom of God is like a seed… though it is the smallest of all seeds, yet when it grows, it becomes the largest of garden plants.” — Matthew 13:31–32
Small beginnings. Quiet weeks. Hidden growth.
This is how God builds people who last.
The Strength That Forms in Silence
There is a strength God forms only in the quiet — the strength of endurance, faithfulness, and unseen obedience.
Paul wrote:
“We rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance; endurance produces character; and character produces hope.” — Romans 5:3–4
Endurance is not built in the spotlight.
Character is not formed in applause.
Hope is not born in ease.
It’s shaped in the slow weeks.
The stretching weeks.
The weeks where you keep choosing faith even when you can’t see fruit yet.
And God sees every moment of it.
“Your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.” — Matthew 6:6
He sees the prayers whispered when you’re tired.
He sees the patience you choose when frustration rises.
He sees the faith you hold when clarity hasn’t come yet.
Nothing is wasted.
When the Week Feels Hidden
If your week felt hidden, remember this:
“Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin.” — Zechariah 4:10
God rejoices over the small steps you take.
He celebrates the quiet faithfulness you offer.
He honours the unseen obedience that no one else notices.
And He promises that what He begins, He finishes.
“He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion.” — Philippians 1:6
Hidden doesn’t mean hollow.
Quiet doesn’t mean empty.
Slow doesn’t mean stagnant.
God often does His deepest work in the places we would rush through.
Keep Showing Up
So if you’re in a quiet week, breathe.
You’re not behind.
You’re not forgotten.
You’re not stuck.
You’re becoming.
“Let us not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” — Galatians 6:9
Keep showing up.
Keep trusting.
Keep becoming.
The House is with you.
And God is working in the background — even when the week feels quiet.
